  • Dave Thompson MIFPO
    Dave Thompson MIFPO
    Position: Fire Safety Director and SP205 Validator

    Dave is the founder and Managing Director of Fire Safety Solutions NI and is responsible for the management and quality assurance of all of our fire safety services and contracts. 

    Dave is a Member and Assessor with the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO), a BAFE SP205 Accredited Fire Risk Assessment Validator and a Member of the Fire Industry Association.  He is a fire safety expert and has carried out in excess of 12,500 Fire Risk Assessments during his extensive career.  As such, he still has a hands-on role delivering Fire Risk Assessments, a range of fire safety training and carrying out dry riser testing to meet the ever-increasing demand for our high-quality products and services. 

  • Jacqui Kane
    Jacqui Kane
    Position: Operations Manager

    Jacqui is responsible for the management of the training and joinery departments. This includes planning and delivering all our public training courses to ensure best practice quality assurance processes are adhered to for best in class fire safety training. 

    Jacqui also arranges in-house, bespoke training courses to keep our customers compliant with fire safety legislation across a wide range of fire safety training: Fire Warden/Marshal training, Fire Awareness training, Fire Induction Trainer training and Emergency First Aid at Work training.  In addition, Jacqui handles all joinery and fire stopping enquiries to provide quick resolution to customer queries.

  • Christen Allen
    Christen Allen
    Position: Services Co-ordinator

    Christen is responsible for the management of the fire services department and delivering excellence in customer service.  This involves oversight of our fire alarm, emergency lighting and fire extinguisher installations, servicing and renewals; PAT and electrical testing; and fire safety signage.

    Christen facilitates a professional and seamless link between our customers and the fire safety services team providing expert support and quick resolutions to customer queries.

  • Cathy Jamison
    Cathy Jamison
    Position: Accounts Co-ordinator

    Cathy is responsible for the financial systems and processes within Fire Safety Solutions to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment of suppliers. 

    She manages the procurement function with Fire Safety Solutions NI and delivers monthly management accounts, financial statements and purchasing.

     

  • Donna Beattie
    Donna Beattie
    Position: Fire Risk Co-ordinator

    As Fire Risk Co-ordinator, Donna is responsible for the management and smooth running of the Fire Risk Department.  Donna implements and administers all aspects of fire risk assessments for new and renewing customers.  This includes confirmation of dates; agreement of scope of work; scheduling of assessors; co-ordination of all paperwork; and ensuring timely and accurate reports are issued to our customers. 

    A key element of her role is to monitor deadlines and advise clients of their annual renewal dates to keep them fully compliant. 

     

  • Nick Willis
    Nick Willis
    Position: Regional Business Manager

    As Regional Business Manager, Nick meets with customers to carry out a free site visit and advise them on all aspects of fire safety applicable to their business.  Nick will highlight any potential non-compliance issues and provide recommendations to meet legislative requirements.

    Following receipt of a Fire Risk Assessment, Nick will meet with the person responsible for fire safety for the property.  At this meeting Nick will go through the contents of the Report and explain the findings and action plan in detail. He is extremely experienced in handling queries and questions from customers following receipt of their Fire Risk Assessment and takes the time required to ensure that they fully understand the Report.

    Position: Business Manager Co-ordinator

    Robert is responsible for the provision of fire safety services that keep our clients legally compliant, fully insured and most importantly safe from fire. Robert visits customers to advise them on the legislation applicable to their business, discuss the current fire safety measures in place and advise on the best way forward.  He works across all the full spectrum of our fire safety services including fire safety training, fire risk assessments and the installation/servicing of fire safety equipment.

    He brings a wealth of experience in client liaison and customer service.  As such he explains detailed and sometimes technical information in a straightforward and understandable manner.

  • Glenn Lennox
    Glenn Lennox
    Position: Business Manager

    As Business Manager, Glenn visits customers to advise them on the legislation applicable to their business, discuss the current fire safety measures in place and advise on the best way forward. 

    He works across all the full spectrum of our fire safety services including fire safety training, fire risk assessments and the installation/servicing of fire safety equipment.  

  • David Walters MIFPO
    David Walters MIFPO
    Position: Fire Risk Manager & SP205 Validator

    Dave is a Member of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and a BAFE SP205 Accredited Fire Risk Assessment Validator.  As such, he is responsible for the creation of the Fire Risk Assessments for varying customer sites and offices and validating its compliance with current legislation and British Standards.

    David has a wealth of experience and expertise in fire safety having delivered more than 12,500 Fire Risk Assessments during his career.  His expertise and vast experience in the provision of Fire Risk Assessments ensures a high quality and certified assessment for all of the sites and offices he is assigned to.

  • Chris Glass
    Chris Glass
    Position: Fire Safety Trainer & Fire Risk Assessor

    Chris is the lead trainer for our wide range of fire safety training including Fire Warden/Marshal training, Fire Awareness training and Evacuation Aid/Equipment training courses. He brings 34 years’ experience as a Watch Commander for the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue making him an expert in his field and perfectly placed to guide and advise our customers in all aspects of fire safety.

    With hands-on experience in the safe evacuation of buildings during an emergency, Chris has designed and delivers specialist bariatric training for employees who work with bariatric patients in their premises and require training to move them safely in an evacuation. Chris also conducts fire risk assessments, carries out fire stopping inspections and surveys and dry riser testing for customers across a variety of sectors.
