Emergency Lighting & PAT Testing
The Responsible Person, as defined in fire safety legislation, has to conduct a fire risk assessment. This FRA will decide the appropriate type and volume of emergency lighting necessary to provide the required levels of illumination to ensure safe evacuation of all occupants from the premises.
The equipment provided for fire safety must be subject to a system of suitable maintenance and be maintained in an efficient working order and in good repair.
The minimum expected level of servicing of Emergency Lighting Systems should be Bi Annually by a competent service engineer, in-line with BS-5266.
